Common questions
Do I need to know which grant I want?
No. Tell us what you’d like to improve, or what is worrying you about your home. We’ll help you work out a sensible next step.
Does it cost anything to ask?
Our grant guidance is free for homeowners. Before any site visit, you see the company, time and any visit fee. Asking a question or booking a visit does not commit you to installation work.
Can you apply for the grant for me?
We explain the steps and point you to the official application route. Some schemes are handled through approved providers. We’ll help you understand who does what; the relevant scheme administrator decides whether an application is approved.
Will you share my details with lots of contractors?
No. We name the company and explain what will be shared before you agree to an introduction or visit. We do not send your conversation to unrelated contractors.
Is HomeGrants part of SEAI or the government?
No. HomeGrants is an independent service. Our digital assistant uses official guidance to explain your options, and a person can help when needed. You can always ask for the source behind an answer.
